tbt tumblr vol. 2: charming outdoor things that do not reflect my life

It’s roughly ten million degrees in DC right now, and I am NOT a happy camper about it. I told my mom that I live on the surface of the sun. This is patently not true, and there are way hotter places to live. I just think I genuinely enjoy complaining about the weather.

This week’s TBT Tumblr post focuses on all the things I am not currently doing outside. Because the things I am doing outside right now are swimming and sweating. Or getting rained on, which is like involuntary swimming because it is so humid here.

As usual, the images click through to my weird old Tumblr.

You'd have to have a ponytail. Hair down is too sweaty.

This just seems impractical.

This one seems almost possible because it's night and wouldn't require much movement. But execution seems really involved.

Don't want to touch another human in this weather or even bike that close to them.

I always get yelled at when I try to drink beers in picnic areas. Because it's illegal.

  1. The one thing I don’t miss about living in DC is the summers. I remember wanting to, like, sleep on a plywood board because even the sheets were too much ~touching~ in the humidity. This post is excellent.

    1. I have great AC in my current place – THANK GOD. I still wake up sweaty, though, and I swear it’s because my body is predicting how sweaty I will be after walking from the metro to the office.
